Finally an Italian meet-up for kids and their parents! The Westchester Italian Playgroup is a community group that organizes itself by getting together to create a playful environment in Italian for its children. It aims to give young children the opportunity to learn and practice Italian while playing and having fun. I'm a mom of a 23 month old daughter and we are a bilingual family. My husband is American and I'm French. I'm creating this group in the hope to meet others families with bilingual kids so that they can practise their languages and also us, parents, moms being able to share our experience, doing play dates and fun activities. This group is before all an opportunity to get to know other moms and kids, bilingual or not, so we can get together with our little ones.

… I can speak French better than Korean which I learned in high school. This has frustrated me all my life. I believe that children are sponges and very capable of several languages, and in this changing world isn't it necessary? I'd just like to help make it as easy and fun as possible. Anyone with me?
